More than 50 students and teachers from 22 Saint-Petersburg schools participated in the training. In the course of the training students and teachers discussed the specific policies they would implement at school in order to improve their standard of living. Together with this difficult and unusual for the participants discussion we all discussed the process of collective decision making. At the end of the training every group chose its own representatives for the discussion of these ideas in front of all participants. The wise choice of representatives that are authorised to make government decisions is the basic duty of all citizens of a republic. According the results of our work it was decided to organise the all-city conference in Saint-Petersburg in October of the year 2001. |
