Reactor

Two pressurised water reactors, model VM-A with a capacity of 2 x 70 MWt (2 x 17 500 hp). The reactors ran at 100% power starting with submarine K-172.

The fuel in the undamaged reactor will be removed once the radiation has fallen to a safe level. There are also plans to remove the fuel from the damaged reactor.
